Yorkshire Terrier (definite introduction)
As a companion animal, the dog has everything In line with human livelihood. In today's society, both domesticated pet dogs and abandoned stray dogs are everywhere, and the ensuing dog injuries are not surprising. So if we are bitten by a dog or accidentally injured by its sharp teeth while playing with our own dog, and the conditions at the time are limited and we are unable to rush to the hospital as soon as possible, what self-rescue measures should we take.
1. Harm of dog bites
After being bitten by a dog, in addition to the well-known threat of rabies virus, the wound sensation, Colds, muscle tears, etc. are often underestimated by people. The time almost immediately after being bitten is the best time to treat the wound, especially for the prevention and treatment of bacterial and viral infections such as rabies and colds.
2. How to treat wounds
After being bitten by a dog, we should treat the wound as soon as possible (should not exceed 24 hours). It is best to use fat soap to completely clean the wound. If there is no fat soap around, you can wash it repeatedly with clean water for at least 15 minutes. When the wound is deep, try to open it and clean it thoroughly. If it cannot be opened, it should be cleaned by infusion. After cleaning is completed, 75% medical alcohol or iodine should be used to wipe the surface and surface of the wound for complete disinfection.
Points to note:
1. The stronger the alkalinity of fat soap, the greater the bactericidal power. Therefore, alkaline soap should be used when using it. Stronger laundry soap, not toilet soap.
2. When cleaning, squeeze around the wound to help eliminate "poisonous" blood.
3. After cleaning, if there is no medical alcohol and iodine around, you may not need to disinfect it, but do not bandage it and keep the wound exposed as much as possible. This is because both rabies virus and cold bacterium are anaerobic.
4. After using medical alcohol and iodine to disinfect the wound, generally do not bandage it.
5. After the treatment is completed, let the wound dry naturally and keep it dry.
6. Seek medical attention as soon as possible.
